when mom is away...

the boys will play! Being away all weekend, gave the boys a chance to play. On Saturday I popped in at lunch time to see the boys working hard, gassing and oiling what appeared to be a shiny new lawn mower.

They tried to convince me they had cleaned up the old one. This has been on their wish list for quite a while now. Since Ty has taken over this chore, it has been tough for him to cut the monster hill in our backyard, so this is a good thing. He went from pushing the old beast, practically killing himself, to having to almost run after the new self-propelled machine!

To wrap up the weekend, we enjoyed closing night of Peter Pan at school. Ty has been working hard for  months perfecting his pirate skills. The pirates were the best part of the play, and Ty was the best pirate of all!
