I can't believe it is already time to celebrate Festivus! Where does the time go? What is Festivus you ask? You may remember the Seinfeld episode where George's dad explains the festivities of Festivus. There is a pole, airing of grievances and something about wrestling. Our celebration is a little different but just as interesting and joyous! This will be our 5th annual Celebration. The first was celebrated with my hubby and our children. Our idea of this sacred Holiday focuses on a lovely full blown holiday meal before the craziness of the true Holiday Season begins. We celebrate in October. The second Festivus we invited our best friends and from there we began to rotate host homes, turkey AND crawfish etouffee, Festivus gifts, homemade, collected or gathered flea market style...heart felt, the Festivus clock...The clock featuring a Nascar guy (???) that hangs in the host home for the year. You can see it in one of the "Festivus Past" photos! We are host home once again and we can't wait! Here's to a Happy Festivus...Hope you all celebrate a wonderful weekend with loved ones too!

Good food, good fun, shared memories- what could be better? Is Festivus a religious holiday? It sounds Greek or something.
